Location: Surrey, TW16, UK
Shift: 0730-1600 Monday to Thursday, 0730-1300 on Friday
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mechanical & Electrical Assembly: Build mechanical and/or electrical assemblies based on technical drawings, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).
  • Testing & Troubleshooting: Perform mechanical and electrical tests on products, including resistance, inductance, and flash testing, ensuring the highest quality standards.
  • Use of Hand Tools: Work with torque drivers, crimping tools, micrometers, verniers, and specialised tools like circlip pliers, tweezers, Swiss files, and more.
  • Precision Soldering: Solder small components with accuracy, ensuring proper assembly of electromechanical products.
  • Assembly of Complex Systems: Perform assembly of fans, motors, heaters, and other electromechanical components for aerospace and defence applications.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in 5S and Continuous Improvement initiatives to optimise product quality and assembly processes.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Technical Proficiency: Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings, CMMs, and SOPs for both mechanical and electrical assemblies.
  • Soldering Expertise: Skilled in soldering small components, working with a range of electromechanical products.
  • Hand Tool Knowledge: Familiarity with hand tools like pliers, screwdrivers, tweezers, and Swiss files, as well as mechanical tools such as lathes and drills.
  • Machine Operations: Desirable experience with brazing, and operating machines such as drills and lathes.
  • Assembly Experience: Prior work in a production environment, with experience assembling small components such as model kits or other precision mechanical products.
  • Teamwork & Communication: Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and follow detailed assembly procedures.
